In this course, students learn to combine the knowledge gained during their studies in various disciplines such as strategic management, marketing, investment and financing, accounting, production and others. Therefore, it is advisable to attend this course from the 5th semester onwards. In a software-based simulation, students will jointly make decisions for the management of their respective company within small teams. In this way, several teams compete in a simulated market. At an early stage of the simulation, student teams are expected to submit a strategy paper. The submission of this paper is mandatory for grading purposes and is intended to provide insights about the planned corporate strategy and accompanying measures. After completion of the simulation, student groups will have to give a final presentation, which is also mandatory.

Students can register for the course via the KIS and the corresponding registration at the examination office. In addition, attendance is compulsory at the kick-off event, the subsequent event in which the allocation of students to their ‘corporate groups’ is announced, and the final presentation. The business simulation is offered each winter term.
